European Commission's Assessment of Maritime Education, Training, and Certification System of th

The latest EMSA audit report on the Philippines Maritime Education, Training and Certification System has come out and identified several range of areas pertaining to the implementation of the STCW reguirements " that need attention or further improvement".
This was contained in a press statement released by the Marime INdustry Authority (MARINA) recently. As we all know, EMSA has been conducting a series of evaluation and assessment of the country's maritime training, education and certification since 2006. The earlier reports has noticed some deficiencies on several areas.
The latest inspection was done March of last year by EMSA and the findings sent to the European Commission for Assessment (EC) who in turn submitted its findings to MARINA in January this year.
